Indiana—Lawmaker Wants Sunday "Blue Law," On Motorcycle Sales, Tossed Out

ANDERSON, Ind. -- Indiana State Sen. Ed Charbonneau isn't a motorcycle rider but he has spent time at his local Harley-Davidson dealership on a Sunday afternoon as a witness to what could have been a crime.
       Charbonneau saw the dealer sell clothing and parts and perform repair work on the bikes -- but had the dealer sold a motorcycle, both the seller and the buyer could have gone to jail.
       That doesn't seem right to Charbonneau, a Republican lawmaker from northwest Indiana who has filed a bill that would repeal an Indiana law that makes it illegal to buy, sell or trade a motorcycle on a Sunday.
