Big Dog Motorcycles, Recapping the Sturgis Rally

Sturgis was a great show for Big Dog Motorcycles. This year we partnered with one of our top-performing dealers and retailed more new bikes than we have at the previous 3 Sturgis Rallies. We measured a large increase in foot traffic at our display compared to the previous year.

This was our 3rd year displaying at "Champions Park" located between 2nd and 3rd Streets on the North side of Lazelle St.  We were able to secure a frontage location immediately adjacent to the Harley-Davidson display.  This was Harley's first year at Champions Park.  We believe this location is the "Manufacturer Epicenter" for the Sturgis Rally.  Consumer feedback continued to support the strong interest for our products in foreign markets.  Canada and Europe represented the largest portion of these customers and were followed closely by Australia.  We were able to capture a number of leads and distribute contact information for our international dealer network.

This significant flow of customers has encouraged us to invite our international distributors to join us at Sturgis next year.  The domestic consumers continued to be value-minded.  We were able to capitalize on the opportunity by unveiling our new "K9 250".  This bike flaunts the super-affordable $20,995 price tag while maintaining the high-end components and quality our customers have come to expect from Big Dog Motorcycles.  On the other end of the spectrum, we displayed our "Bonneville Big Dog Bagger" just before it set land speed records in Bonneville the following weekend at 158.766 MPH.  You can keep abreast of exciting new developments and videos of this bike and Big Dog Motorcycles on our website at www.BigDogMotorcycles.com and Youtube.
