New Hard Line Sealing Tool

Now there’s an easy way to ensure optimum sealing with flared hard lines employed in crucial brake and fuel system applications. The innovative new Surseat tool removes irregularities in the flare and prevents surface risers. In addition to perfecting newly-flared stainless steel, aluminum or copper lines, the Surseat can also rejuvenate the seal on existing brake and fuel lines for restoration projects.
The Surseat operates on the same premise as the ages-old process of lapping engine valves. A precision diamond dust coated lapping head (in either 37° or 45° configuration) literally polishes the flare smooth to perfection.
It comes with collets for 3/16” to ½” tubing, and collets to accommodate 3/16” and ¼” threaded brake lines. A custom carrying case is also included. The Surseat P-51 kit is a valuable asset for builders, automotive repair facilities and serious do-it-yourselfers.

The Surseat Mini utilizes a diamond dust lapping head to clean up tubing flares. It will remove any irregularities you get after flaring the tube and true the flare to a perfect 45° or 37° angle. It creates a much better seal with the fitting.
The Surseat Mini is available in two models. The P-45 is used for steel brake lines with a 45° double flare and the P-37 is used for stainless steel brake lines with a 37° flare. The compact size of the Surseat Mini allows you to lap-in the flare on an existing brake line and get it to seat with the fitting. The days of tightening and re-tightening the fitting are over.
Koul Tools owner Dick Raczuk envisioned the Surseat Mini as a logical answer to stopping leaky brake line fittings based on the practice of lapping engine valves. "People have been lapping engine valves for 100 years. Why? So they don't leak!  When you flare a tube, you should lap it in as well so it doesn't leak."
