Less than a year into the Indian Motorcycle rebirth in Sturgis, the owner has announced plans to build a bigger showroom.
Indian Motorcycle Sturgis owner Bruce Eide says the dealership has been successful beyond his wildest dreams.
In it's first full month of business last June, the dealership became the top seller in the nation and has held that position since.
"Sales have just been tremendous," he said. "Sturgis is the mecca for motorcycling in the U.S., and everyone wants to take home with them a little piece of Sturgis."
An amazing selling point has been the "badging" that Indian Motorcycle Sturgis adds to each bike sold.
"People love having the badge on their Indian that reads Sturgis," he said. "We have been told by people who live far away that they want to buy from us because of the Sturgis badge. It's an honor for us and a lot of fun for them."
