Performance Machine Acquires Xtreme Machine Wheels

La Palma, CA - August 5, 2011 - Performance Machine, the industry leader in aftermarket wheels, brakes, controls and motorcycle accessories, announces it has acquired Xtreme Machine Motorcycle Wheels USA.

Well known in the custom bike business, Xtreme Machine has been manufacturing billet wheels for more than a decade. In fact, Xtreme has been the recipient of the coveted “V-Twin Wheel Design Of The Year” award three times for their extraordinary designs. “Xtreme Machine has always been a well-respected brand and Performance Machine will continue to manufacture motorcycle products under the Xtreme Machine brand name,” explains PM president Mark Finnie.
“We feel that the Xtreme Machine line of wheels is a natural addition to Performance Machine’s diverse brands,” Finnie adds. In addition to the flagship PM-branded products, the wheel line has grown to include edgy, game-changing designs of RSD (Roland Sands Design) and the Forge Tec private label line. “Our goal is to expand the scope of the Xtreme Machine product line, further rounding out our offerings to motorcycle enthusiasts.”
Finnie says Performance Machine’s latest addition wouldn’t be complete without bringing Rod Brogdon on board as the Brand Manager. “Rod’s passion has driven the Xtreme Machine Brand for the past 11 years,” notes Finnie. Brogdon’s long-term relationship with billet goes to the start of his career in automotive wheels with Boyd’s in 1987, back before joining the motorcycle aftermarket in 1993.
“In the past ten years, Rod has worked diligently to build Xtreme Machine and there is no one better equipped to help grow the brand,” says Finnie. “Rod’s investment in Xtreme runs deep and we are grateful to have him as part of the Performance Machine team.”
“Performance Machine has set the industry standards for motorcycle wheels,” adds Brogdon. “I am very pleased to be part of such a prestigious team.” Xtreme Machine’s manufacturing operation will move from Jacksonville, IL, to operate as part of Performance Machine’s facility in the immediate future.
Performance Machine is part of the MAG (Motorsports Aftermarket Group) family of top powersports brands, and PM’s pick up of Xtreme Machine rounds out MAG’s wheel range. Companies in the MAG family of brands include Vance & Hines, Kuryakyn, Mustang, Progressive Suspension and RSD, among others.
